As the Mirror's former consumer correspondent, I have also specialised in consumer journalism and was the 2003 Consumer Journalist of the Year.
As an investigative journalist, I was nominated for the UK Press Gazette Scoop of the Year.
My features now cover a broad range of subjects, ranging from opinion pieces, parenting, health, consumer issues and real life.
As an author, my third book, entitled "How to be an "Amazing Mum" - When You Just Don't Have the Time - The Ultimate Handbook for Hassled Mothers" was published by Lion and Hudson last May.
Called "the most talked about parenting book of 2009", it received extensive coverage in the Daily Mail, Daily Express, Daily Mirror, Junior, Celebs on Sunday, Practical Parenting, Australian and New Zealand Woman's Day, The Daily Telegraph, GMTV, The Sunday Express, the sun.co.uk, Prima, Now - as well as dozens of radio stations and websites.
My fourth book: "Never Kiss a Man in a Canoe: Words of Wisdom from the Golden Age of Agony Aunts", a humorous anthology of problem page advice, was published by Boxtree this November last year and is now in its second reprint.
It was named one of the top humour books of the year by the Daily Mail, Sunday Telegraph and Independent on Sunday. The paperback version will be published in Autumn 2010.
