Biography
Jamie is a freelance consumer tech & travel journalist. He writes a fortnightly column on technology & digital lifestyle for the South China Morning Post (Hong Kong), as well as travel features, and has had travel features, restaurant reviews and travel gear articles published in Easyjet Traveller (inflight magazine), Wanderlust, Real Travel, BBC Sky At Night and BBC History magazines, as well as news in The Guardian's front section. As well as doing corporate copy writing and product consultancy for blue-chip brands – as well as the occasional lecture to freelance journalism students – Jamie continues to write about travel, and travel-gear, articles and consumer technology features and reviews for Future Publishing's www.techradar.co.uk & T3 magazine, as well as for www.pocket-lint.co.uk, Canary Wharf and City magazines, PC Plus and IT Reviews.
35-year old Jamie had a varied career as a staff journalist. After interviewing the likes of Rik Mayall and John Peel for a local magazine in Cardiff, Jamie won several magazine awards from the Press Gazette and Periodicals Training Council (including one for Editor) and spent four years in London working on a host of technology magazines. He now lives in Cardiff once again, though travels widely.
