Zak Avery

Biography

Currently a freelance journalist, committee member of the Guild of British Beer Writers, and independent retailer (but has been many other things; a chef, a recording artist and a sculptor’s assistant, to name the more interesting ones), Zak is an enthusiast of all global styles of beer, of enjoying it with food, and of talking about it. He shares his enthusiasm via his website www.thebeerboy.co.uk — which is also his springboard for organising beer tasting events. A regular columnist for Off Licence News, Zak has also written for various other publications, both extant and deceased.
