Biography

Over the past seven years, I have travelled across Asia on assignments for international publishers, reporting from the backstreets of Chongqing and the Beijing Olympics to the top of Kuala Lumpur's highest tower and Calcutta's Eden Gardens cricket ground.

Previously, I held several editorial management positions for UK-based publishers before moving into travel and consumer publishing. I have since edited several business and corporate travel magazines – including ASTA Network, Shanghai Business Review and BizChina-Update.com – and have interviewed global CEOs, government officials, sports stars and celebrities on four continents.

I have recently contributed China and Asia-based features to The Guardian, Art Info, Business Traveler, Concierge.com, Conde Nast Traveller, MSN.com, SilverKris, Silk Road and Prestige. I updated the 2012 National Geographic Beijing and Shanghai Guide, and have researched and written two comprehensive travel industry analysis reports for Mintel: Outbound Travel from Southeast Asia and Backpacking Trends in Asia Pacific.
