Informations biographiques

Moved into publishing/media in 2007 from Construction. I write about the industry drawing on my in depth knowledge and experience.

I have edited Sustainable Building Matters (www.sbmsearch.com) since its launch in 2010 and delivered the social media strategy to drive the traffic to it. Developing a broad knowledge of the issues in this niche area of the sector.

Business engagement comes naturally. I have set up run and grown many networking groups and partnerships. Including those involving public and private sectors and colleges of further education.

As feature writer for Horizons and Futures (www.bbkmedia.com) I gathered a broad understanding of many sectors; adding this to that gained from my roles with Chambers of Commerce (Chairman) and the local branch of the Federation of Small Businesses (Vice Chair). I have also chaired a Centre of Vocational Excellence and worked within a public/private business partnership, creating the protocols and bringing investment to it.

My wife suffered a brain tumor while carrying our 2nd child, who in turn was diagnosed as severely Autistic. The tumor has left permanent disabilities as well. Having lived with these and other such challenges for 18+ years I can write on such issues form an empathetic point of view.

I am an accomplished public speaker and currently working on several books. I have also made regular appearances, on Radio and TV. While in construction I presented on three short programmes for the now defunct Chanel6 in Oxford.
